Our 2026 scoring methodology combines two evidence streams: peer-reviewed scientific research (85% weight) and expert consensus from leading longevity physicians and researchers (15% weight). Each intervention receives an overall score from 0–100 and an estimated life-expectancy impact in years.
The scientific evidence tier assesses study quality, sample size, and replication. Meta-analyses of large RCTs receive the highest weight; observational cohort studies receive moderate weight; mechanistic or animal studies receive the lowest weight. The expert tier tracks endorsements from physicians including Peter Attia, Andrew Huberman, Rhonda Patrick, and David Sinclair.
Estimated impact on life expectancy is derived from the largest and most rigorous available studies, adjusted for effect size, study population, and plausible mechanism. Diminishing returns are applied when multiple interventions from the same category are combined.
