Aubrey de Grey, PhD

Creator of SENS framework and advocate for ending aging as a disease

Aubrey de Grey is a biomedical gerontologist who has been instrumental in framing aging as a medical problem that can be solved. He developed the SENS (Strategies for Engineered Negligible Senescence) framework, which outlines seven categories of cellular and molecular damage that cause aging and proposes interventions to repair them. Now leading the LEV Foundation, he advocates for achieving 'Longevity Escape Velocity' where life expectancy gains outpace aging.
